Why have some Digital PR links been removed or not indexed?
Publishers control the articles they publish, and Google decides which pages to index. Occasionally, coverage may take time to appear in search results, become unindexed or be removed by the publisher.
What if an article isn't indexed?
Only original, indexed links that meet our quality criteria count towards your guaranteed link total. These must come from publications with DR50+ and at least 100,000 monthly traffic.
Syndicated copies and brand mentions are recorded separately as additional coverage and don't count towards that total.
Does nofollow mean an article isn't indexed?
No. A link's followed or nofollow attribute is separate from whether the article is indexed.
Both followed and nofollow links can count towards your package if they meet our other criteria. Publishers decide which attributes they use, so we don't guarantee followed links or report the two separately.
What happens if a link is removed?
Publishers may update articles, change links or remove coverage. We monitor coverage during your campaign and for 30 days afterwards. If a qualifying link is removed during this period, we'll review it and work to restore or replace it so your package requirements are met.
If you notice a removed link after this period, let us know and we'll attempt to resolve it with the publisher or find a replacement. However, we can't guarantee that coverage will remain live indefinitely.
Can published coverage be corrected or removed?
If you spot an error, send it over and we'll request a correction and follow up with the publisher. As this is earned editorial coverage, the final decision to amend or remove an article rests with them.
Why does the same story appear on different websites?
Publishers sometimes share articles across their networks or republish stories through syndication agreements. This can bring additional exposure, but syndicated copies are reported separately and don't count as additional guaranteed links.
If you have concerns about a specific article or link, get in touch and we'll be happy to review it.
