Why was my press release rejected?
Press releases are occasionally rejected because the publishing sites we distribute to won't accept content covering certain topics or niches. We always try to get your release secured, but sometimes a rejection happens despite our best efforts.
Rejections on Pro tier distribution
If you ordered Pro tier distribution, some Pro sites may decline a press release because of the nature of its topic or niche. When this happens, we'll get in touch to let you know and offer you the following options:
- Proceed with Basic distribution instead, with a partial refund for the price difference between the Basic and Pro packages.
- Cancel the distribution entirely and receive a full refund.
We'll always check with you before moving ahead with either option, so nothing happens without your agreement.
Full rejection of a press release
In some cases, we're unable to secure distribution for a press release at all, due to the nature of its content. If this happens, we'll issue a full refund for the order. The press release itself, which we've already written for you, remains yours to use however you'd like.
Revisions to reduce rejection risk
If we spot a potential rejection risk before distribution, we may revise your press release article to improve its chances of being accepted. We'll send the revised version back to you for approval, so keep an eye out for it and approve it as soon as you can, so we can proceed with distribution again.
You can find out more about how our distribution packages work on our press release distribution page.
