How does account credit work?

Account credit is money held in your fatjoe account balance that you can spend on any of our services, instead of paying by card for each individual order. There are two types of credit, and they work slightly differently.

Purchased credit

This is credit you've bought and added to your account balance, including credit added through a Subscribe & Save subscription or a top-up. Purchased credit:

  • Can be used on any order across our services
  • Is non-refundable
  • Expires 12 months from the date of purchase if unused

Gifted credit

Gifted credit is any credit added as part of a promotion or as a gesture of goodwill, rather than credit you've paid for directly (for example, bonus credit added on top of a purchase). Gifted credit:

  • Can also be used on any order
  • Cannot be refunded or exchanged for a cash alternative
  • Expires 6 months from the date it's added to your account

Topping up your credit

You can add more credit to your account whenever you need it. If you're on a Subscribe & Save subscription, you can also add top-ups on top of your monthly subscription amount, which is handy if you need a bit extra for a particular month. Credit can be managed from the Credit section of your dashboard once you're logged in.

Good to know

Any credit in your account, whether purchased or gifted, can be put towards any service we offer, so there's no need to earmark it for a specific product. Keep an eye on expiry dates so you don't lose unused balance. If you're unsure whether credit in your account is purchased or gifted, or when it's due to expire, our support team can check this for you.
